A unique marketing competition for university students.

Purple Robot is looking for four motivated university marketing students to take part in a hands-on competition. Each student will develop and run their own independent campaign and compete against the other participants. It's a chance to apply what you're learning, gain practical experience, and see what your skills can accomplish.

What you win

There's no fixed prize. What you win is negotiated as part of your presentation, so make the case for what your campaign is worth.

What you'd be marketing

Made It is Purple Robot's private location-sharing app: a simple way for the people you trust to see that you made it, without being tracked. It's live, it has real users, and it's yours to bring to new ones. Read what Purple Robot stands for.

What we're looking for

Initiative, creativity, ambition, and the drive to actually execute. You don't need a finished campaign or a portfolio to apply - tell us how you'd take on the challenge.

Each campaign is your own. You'll decide how to run it, and you'll compete individually - though nothing stops the four of you from helping each other along the way.

How selection works

  1. Apply with the form below.
  2. We read every application ourselves and invite a shortlist to present to us.
  3. We choose the four participants and contact them by email with their invitations.

An anonymous first round

We don't ask for your name. Each application gets an agent number - Agent 001, Agent 002 and so on - and we choose the shortlist knowing only what you wrote, not who you are. That keeps the first round about your ideas, not assumptions about gender, ethnicity or background. We'll only ask your name if you're shortlisted.

We don't ask for your name. We store what you enter below only so we can review your application and contact you if you're shortlisted. Only Purple Robot can see it. It's deleted automatically 90 days after you apply, or sooner if you ask us at hr@purplerobot.ca. It isn't used for anything else, and it isn't linked to any Made It app account.
