Why we started
We started Purple Robot because too many companies gather far more about us than they need - and then sell it. That's an intrusion into our private lives, and it shouldn't be the price of using an app. So we're building technology that asks for less, keeps less, and never sells what it has.

How we build
One rule runs through everything we make: don't store what we can avoid, and don't keep what we don't need. Before anything is saved, it has to earn its place - and once it has done its job, it's deleted.
- In Made It, messages, map locations and help alerts are deleted after 24 hours.
- Nothing is tracked when you're not using the app.
- There's no advertising, and we don't sell anyone's data.
- Even applications to our marketing competition are deleted 90 days after they arrive.
It's a promise you can check: our privacy policy lists exactly what we keep, and for how long.
What we make
Made It is our first app: see where your people are, keep the chat going, and send an alarm to the whole group if you need help. More apps are on the way, each built on the same foundation.
